Born: 12th November 1902

A veteran Gandhian and a distinguished freedom fighter. Worked in the realms of removal of untouchability, Harijan welfare, Khadi, prohibition, temple entry and village industries. Took up full time Harijan work under the auspices of Harijan Sevak Sangh. Got into Madras Legislative Assembly. Managing Trustee of the Thakkar Bapa Vidyalaya – one of the most outstanding monuments of Harijan work in the entire country.
